Trial of men accused of Earls Barton murder begins today

The trial of two men accused of murdering mum-of-two Marion Price in Earls Barton is set to begin today (Monday).

Marion, a 63-year-old former Northants County Council worker, was found dead in her car after being shot in a car park off Elderton Way in December.

Two Northampton men were charged with her murder and pleaded not guilty earlier this year.

They are 70-year-old Michael Reader, of Booth Rise, and 61-year-old Stephen Welch, of Addlecroft Close.

The trial is set to begin at Northampton Crown Court today and could last up to eleven weeks.
