Three people taken to hospital after serious car crash in Northamptonshire

Three people were taken to hospital after a crash involving two cars on a busy road in Northamptonshire.

At about 3.45pm on yesterday (Tuesday), a black BMW and a red Mitsubishi L200 were involved in a collision on Wellingborough Road, Northampton, at the junction with the A43 slip road.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 40-year-old woman from Northampton and a passenger, also from Northampton, were taken to Northampton General Hospital and later released. A second passenger, from this car was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry.

The driver of the BMW, a 31-year-old man from Northampton, was taken to the Criminal Justice Centre to assist police with their enquiries.
