Three people fined for covid breaches and cannabis possession in East Northants

Two men and a woman were fined this morning (January 19) after police officers spotted them out in a car near Clopton without reasonable excuse.

Officers were on a morning patrol in the early hours of this morning when they spotted a vehicle across the fields near Clopton.

Police, upon locating the vehicle and performing checks, found that the two men and the woman in the car were out without reasonable excuse. Two of the offenders were in possession of cannabis.

The cannabis was subsequently seized and all three people in breach of Covid restrictions were fined.
