Police would like to talk to three men who may have witnessed a sex attack in Corby when a woman was dragged into woods near the town centre and assaulted.

The attack happened on Saturday, September 28, between 1.40am and 2.15am, near Jubilee Avenue.

A police spokesman said: “The men were seen walking along Jubilee Avenue towards Beanfield Avenue at the time and are described as all wearing dark jackets and dark trousers.

“Detectives are keen for the men to come forwards as they may have further information which could help with the investigation. They would also like to speak the driver of a taxi which was travelling along Jubilee Avenue shortly afterwards.”

The victim was walking through the wooded area at the end of Jubilee Avenue, near the swimming pool, when she was approached by two, possibly three, men.

She was pulled into the trees and sexually assaulted by one of the men.

The victim screamed and called out and the men ran off. She then made her way out of the wooded area into Llewellyn Walk.

The offenders are described as white men. One of them was about 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in, medium build, with short dark brown hair and an olive complexion. He may have been wearing a white T-shirt. A second man is described as having a larger build than the first man.

Police officers would like to talk to the driver of a taxi which was travelling along Jubilee Avenue shortly after the incident.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
