Three in custody after police officers attacked in Kettering

Three people are in custody after police officers were injured at the scene of a disturbance in Kettering last night (Thursday).
Eyewitnesses reported seeing several police vehicles in Russell Street throughout the evening after the incident, which took place at about 7.45pm.
Officers were called to a disturbance in a block of flats but while they were at the scene two were assaulted.
A police spokesman described their injuries as "minor".

A 22-year-old woman, a 25-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were all arrested.
The trio, all from Kettering, remain in police custody today.
