The third attempted break-in took place at Overstone Manor nearby between 5.40am and 6.10am yesterday, but police say the offenders were unsuccessful again.

A neighbourhood alert issued by Wellingborough PCSO Paul Hurst said: “We are asking pubs and clubs to remain vigilant and please call us if you see anyone acting suspiciously near licensed premises.

“Call 101 to report any suspicious activity or 999 if you believe a crime is taking place.”

The three incidents follow a series of burglaries at 26 pubs and business premises in the Corby area, and further raids on two pubs in Burton Latimer and Rothwell.
