Kelly, of Gordon Street, Rothwell, was charged with theft and attempted robbery from a shops in Market Hill and Kettering Road. He was jailed for 32 months for attempted robbery and four months for theft (served consecutively)
Israel, of Dumble Close, Corby, had knife and hammer during a raid at McColl's in Danesholme Road. Jailed for 44 months for robbery, two months for knife possession and 12-month sentence (concurrently) for carrying the hammer

Travelled to his estranged wifes home on a farm in Lutton, east Northants where he crept into her caravan and strangled her as she slept before cutting her throat and stabbing her in the head and hands. Jailed for 20 years
Turnbull, a Northampton window cleaner, targeted elderly pensioners he knew and robbed them in their homes after forcing his way in and stealing hundreds of pounds in front of them as they watched helplessly. Jailed for 10 years
Attacked two police officers. Grabbed one by the throat and bit the top of his ear off. A other was punched in the face. Sentenced to 11 years and 10 months for GBH (7 years 10 months in prison, plus four years on licence)
The pensioner, of Monk's Hall Road, Northampton, was sentenced to 9 years after being jailed for the historic rape of a girl. The court heard how he told the girl: "If you ever tell anyone you will never see your family again."
Laird, of Westminster Walk, Corby, was convicted and jailed for 16 weeks by magistrates after being charged with theft, assault and a public order offence. He was also ordered to pay compensation of 79.98 to The Range
