Teenagers arrested for driving illegally in Kettering with weapon in car

Two teenagers have been charged with offences after police stopped a car in Kettering on Saturday, November 22.

Police stopped a Ford KA on Stamford Road, Kettering at around 10.30pm after the car originally failed to stop.

A 16-year-old was found to be driving the car and was arrested for failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving with no insurance, driving with no MOT and driving without a licence.

A large knife was found in the footwell of the car and a 17-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of carrying a bladed article.

The two teens have been charged in connection with the incident.

A 19-year-old man was also arrested but has been released without charge.
