Two men tried to force entry to a house in Wellingborough after chasing a teenager who fled there, police believe.

Officers are appealing for information after the incident, which took place at about 8pm on January 28.

The teenage boy was chased by two males in the area of Mill Road, and he ran to a friend’s house in Salisbury Road.

It is believed the two males followed him to the address and caused damage to the front door in an attempt to gain access.

A police spokesman said: "The two males were both black and wearing all black clothing. One of the males had short plaited hair or dreads."

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed either the boy being chased or the subsequent incident at the house in Salisbury Road.
