Police say the sudden death of a man in Corby is not being treated as suspicious.

At least five police cars and ambulances were called after the incident in the Corby Old Village area just after 8pm last night (Sunday).

Eyewitnesses also reported that fire crews were deployed the scene.

A police spokesman has since confirm that a man died and that a report will be prepared for the coroner.

The spokesman said: “Police officers were called to the sudden death of a man in The Nook, Corby, last night (Sunday) at about 8.15pm.

“We are not treating his death as suspicious and will be preparing a report for the coroner."
