A Kettering garage has been left with more than £15,000 worth of damage after criminals slashed all four tyres on 40 cars.

Beddows Motors was one of four places targeted by criminals overnight between Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 23.

All four tyres of 40 cars at Beddows Motors were slashed, causing a staggering £15,877.28 worth of damage.

Other vehicles damaged in the same night included a van owned by Potbelly Brewery and a car in Chestnut Avenue, a van in Wallis Road, and two vehicles owned by Averil Phillips and Family in Station Road.

The offenders left graffiti on the scene at Averil Phillips that said: "Challenge completed #Slash".

Northamptonshire Police are advising residents to check their tyres before driving.
