A Rushden man who groomed and sexually exploited a child he met online has been jailed for seven years.

His sentence also includes three years extended licence to follow and he has been placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely for public protection.

Andrew Hornsby, 35, of Wellingborough Road, Rushden, appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Tuesday, October 8, when he was found guilty of sexual activity with a child and making indecent images of a child.

The court was told Hornsby abused the victim for several months after meeting them online.
