Robbers threatened Northampton shop worker with a knife

A knifepoint robbery took place at a convenience store in Northampton

Two men entered the Quick Stop Shop, Abington Square, at about 6.15pm on Saturday, and demanded money from a man behind the counter, while one brandished a knife.

The member of staff handed over some cash after and the robbers fled the shop, running along Abington Square and turning left into St Michael’s car park.

Both criminals were white, with English accents. The first was about 5ft 8ins and wore a black top, dark-coloured trousers and carried the knife.

The second man was also wearing dark-coloured clothing.
