Robbers push their way into house in Northamptonshire - but flee without taking anything

Three men who barged their way into a house in Northamptonshire before searching upstairs last night left the property empty-handed.

Northamptonshire Police is appealing for witnesses following the attempted robbery at a home in Ruddington Close, Northampton, yesterday evening (Sunday, February 28).

Between 9.30pm and 9.45pm, three men forced their way into the property after the householder had opened the door. They went upstairs and searched the bedrooms but left empty-handed.

It is believed they left on foot along Clumbers Drive.

The men were all about 5ft 8in and had their faces covered. One of the men was well-built, had short dark hair and was wearing jeans, a light-coloured T-shirt and a dark jacket.
