A laptop with sentimental family pictures stored on it was stolen during a break-in.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the burglary which took place between 10pm on Sunday, September 30, and 8am on Monday, October 1, in College Street, Wellingborough.

The thief gained entry into the property and stole a laptop from the living room and some loose change from the dining room.

The loose change was taken from a money tin belonging to a young child.

A police spokesman added: “The victims are particularly keen to recover the laptop as it contained sentimental pictures including those of a child who had passed away.”

The laptop is a Lenovo Idea Pad S205 in black with unique minor damage.
