An elderly man was spoken to by police yesterday (Tuesday) after he was seen taking pictures of young children in Kettering.

Officers deployed to High Street in the town centre just before 3pm after they received calls from people alarmed by the man's behaviour.

Images of the man were later shared on social media groups.

A police spokesman said: "We deployed and spoke to a man in his 80s about his behaviour and explained that it was, rightly, concerning parents.

"He agreed to stop."

Police thanked those who called the incident in.
