Police paid tribute to the victim's bravery after a rapist was jailed for 10½ years for six harrowing sex attacks in Northampton.
Darren Kavanagh, 48, admitted three counts of rape and three more of sexual assault against the woman in November last year.

Hide AdAs well as the prison sentence, Judge Adrienne Lucking ordered Kavanagh to spend eight years on extended licence.
Detective Constable Julia McLeod, who led the investigation, said: “This was a particularly harrowing and distressing experience for the victim who has shown tremendous courage and resilience to continue to support the prosecution.
"I hope that such a sentence shows her how much the court saw what she had been through and offers her an opportunity to lead her life, safe in the knowledge that she is believed and supported.”
Judge Lucking also commended the actions of two members of the public awarding them a £250 each for the assistance they provided on the night of the offences.
