Police hunting two men and a woman after stabbing in Northampton

Police are investigating a stabbing on wasteland in Northampton in the early hours.

Detectives revealed the victim was walking in the St James' area, close to Northampton train station, when he was approached by two men and a woman at around 4.30am last Tuesday (June 9).

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "The victim was walking along St James' Park Road and on to wasteland near Dovercourt, and under the A4500 flyover, between 4am and 4.30am on June 9.

"As he reached the wasteland, he was approached by two males and a female. One of the males assaulted him and the man sustained two stab wounds.

"The offenders ran off toward St James Park Road.

"The offender who assaulted the man is described as being of dual heritage, possibly of Asian descent, and aged in his late 20s. He was 5ft 11in, of a stocky build with short wavy hair, an unkempt beard/stubble and dressed in black.

"The female is described as Asian, about 5ft 2in and of a slim build. There is no description for the second male offender.
