Police hunting a gang of three following carjacking in Northampton

A stunned driver had his BMW carjacked by a three-man gang in broad daylight in a Northampton estate on Monday.

The thieves smashed windows of the red BMW 3 Series before ordering the driver to get out and then fleeing in the vehicle.

Officers are seeking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident in Brookfield Road, at the junction with Hazeldene Road and Fairway, in the Kingsley area of Northampton between 1.45pm and 1.10pm on Monday (July 27)

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "If there was anyone in the area of this incident, or possibly saw the BMW being driven after that time, we would ask them please to call us on 101 using incident number 20000386544. Or, if you wish remain anonymous, you can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
