Police find car with false plates and stolen catalytic converter in Kettering

The catalytic converter had been cut off another vehicle

Police officers found a car with false number plates parked up on Hawkins Close in Kettering last Thursday (January 7).

The vehicle was a Ford Focus and, when an officer inspected the vehicle, a catalytic converter was found in the boot. It was suspected to have been stolen from another vehicle.

Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish more on the circumstances.

A car with false plates and a stolen catalytic converter was found by police in Kettering.

A Range Rover with false plates was discovered in Kettering on that same day last week. The car was believed to be stolen and police requested a vehicle examination in a bid to identify the car’s rightful owner.
