Police believe burglars used a vehicle to steal a number of high-value items from a paddock in rural East Northants.

An investigation has been launched after the incident in Nene Way in Polebrook, near Oundle, between 5.45pm on June 8 and 7.15am the following morning.

The burglars gained access to a privately-owned paddock and stole items including a red Benye Foton tractor, Ifor Williams trailer, Caroni finishing mower, Iseki rotovator, Hitachi 3 tonne excavator with buckets, JCB mini digger buckets, antique French log burner and items of horse tack.

A police spokesman said: "It is believed the offenders may have used a vehicle, possibly a van or 4x4, and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone or a vehicle at the paddocks between the stated times.

"Anyone who may have any information regarding this incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 20000292933."
