Police in Corby are clamping down on inconsiderate off-road motorcycling in the south of the town.
The initiative comes at a time when incidents of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the Corby area have dropped by 11 per cent.
Between April 1, 2012, and March 31 this year the number of incidents fell by 455 to 3,693 compared with 4,148 recorded incidents during the corresponding period the previous year.
Corby Safer Community Team sergeant Nigel Roberts said: “We are pleased with the reduction of overall anti-social behaviour incidents in the town and the surrounding area.
“But we still have a significant problem with motorcycle nuisance in an area to the south of the A427 which we are working hard to address.
“We are working closely with the town’s Community Safety Partnership to ensure all anti-social behaviour issues are effectively addressed.”
If you are concerned about ASB in the Corby area, please call the police on 101 – or Corby Borough Council on 01536 464000.
