A Northampton man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving over a fatal crash in Wollaston last year that killed an 81-year-old man.

Wollaston man Terrence White died as a result of his injuries after the collision on Hardwater Road near Great Doddington in January 2019.

At Northampton Crown Court yesterday (July 13), Ross Simms, of Portland Place, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. He also pleaded guilty to being uninsured at the time.

Two other people were seriously injured in the crash between Simms' Mazda and a Nissan Navara, which saw three air ambulances arrive on the scene.

Simms will be sentenced on August 10. He was granted unconditional bail.
