Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Pete Long, said: “Although we have now made two arrests in connection with the man’s death, we are keeping an open mind and the investigation is continuing at pace.

“We have spoken with many witnesses but there will still be people who haven’t yet contacted us, who may have information that will help us piece together what happened on Tuesday morning and led to the victim’s death.

“Local officers are continuing to patrol the area to reassure the local community and I would encourage anyone with any concerns or any information about the incident to approach and speak to the officers.

“They can also contact the incident room directly by calling 101, quoting incident number 126 of 30/6/20 or anyone who wishes to remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
