Mountain bike rider 'exposed himself' to woman walking near Delapre Lake in Northampton

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them

A man indecently exposed himself to a woman at Delapre Abbey lake last week, police have reported today, Monday (September 14).

The incident took place at about 1.40pm on Tuesday, September 8, when the woman was walking near the lake, a spokesperson for the force said.

"She walked past a man who had been riding a mountain bike, at which point he exposed himself to her. The woman continued on her walk and the man then rode past her on his bike and tried to engage her in conversation.

"The offender is described as white, around 5ft 8ins, of average build, aged 30 to 35 and with cropped dark brown hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jogging bottoms and riding a white mountain bike," the spokesperson added.

The incident took place on the foot path in a wooded area not far from a jetty.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
