In the early hours they were in Wellingborough where they seized 18 wraps of suspected heroin and 62 wraps of suspected cocaine in Mill Road.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

At 9.30am they executed a warrant at an address in Franciscan Close, Rushden, and a small amount of cannabis was found.

A police spokesman said: "Due to the low value of the cannabis, the minimal history of the suspect and no sign of supply, a community resolution for possession of class B drugs was handed out."

And they ended their day at about 3.45pm in Highfield Crescent, Kettering, when a man was found to be in possession of a quantity of cannabis and a lock knife.

Spencer James Cassidy, 25, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of cannabis and possession of a bladed article in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information about drugs offences should call police on 101.
