Medieval silverware stolen from Desborough church
St Giles Methodist Church in Desborough was significantly damaged in a break-in this weekend when burglars made off with medieval silverware.
The church in Lower Street was burgled sometime between 11.30am on Sunday, December 29 and 8.30am on Monday, December 30.
The burglars broke into a safe and stole silverware, some dating to the medieval period.

Hide AdNorthamptonshire Police say the burglars caused "excessive damage" to the front and back doors of the church to get into the building.
Anyone who witnessed the burglary or with any information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
