Masked attacker grabs woman out walking in Northampton and drags her along road

A masked attacker grabbed a woman from behind and dragged her along the road during a random attack in Northampton last night (Monday).

Detectives revealed the shocked woman in her 30s was pulled backwards by an unknown male while she was out walking in Wheatfield Road, Abington, at about 8.45pm on Monday night (September 21).

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "The woman shouted at him before falling to the floor, landing on her back, with the offender continuing to pull her in the direction of the road.

"The woman then managed to break free and the male — who was dressed in all black, taller than 5ft 2in, and wearing a black mask — walked away without saying anything.

"We are asking if anyone was in the Wheatfield Road area last night may have seen this incident, or seen a man answering this description. If you have have any information which cuold help our investigations, please call us on 101 using incident number 20000497265."
