Man tried to grab teenage girl in Northampton

Northamptonshire Police has released a statement tonight, Sunday, saying it is aware of an incident which happened today on Lindsay Avenue, Abington, Northampton, when a 15-year-old girl was allegedly approached by a man who attempted to grab her.

The spokesperson said: "The girl ran away and the man is believed to have got into a grey car which then sped away.

"Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, which happened at about 1.30pm.

A"nybody with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 209 of today’s date. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
