Man suspected of ‘belt whipping’ attack on bus passenger may be in Northamptonshire

A 22-year-old man police believe is responsible for an violent, unprovoked attack on a bus passenger in London may be in Northampton.

An image has been released of Garvey Gordon, who is wanted for failing to appear on police bail on Wednesday, July 14, in connection with an assault on a 33-year old man who was whipped over the head repeatedly with a belt.

The victim of the attack sustained a head injury and was taken to hospital later that day to receive treatment.

The incident happened on a route W3 bus in Middle Lane, in the N8 area of London on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 5.30pm.

Gordon was arrested on Thursday, April 30 and bailed to attend a north London police station on July 14, but he failed to attend.

Officers believe Gordon may be in Northampton, but he also has connections in Haringey and Enfield.
