A man suffered ‘significant’ facial injuries and concussion after he was assaulted in a shop in Kettering.

The 24-year-old victim was buying cigarettes in the Premier shop in Silver Street when he was approached by two men who punched him in the face.

Police have said: “The victim sustained significant facial injuries and concussion as a result of the assault.”

The incident happened on Friday, June 19, between midnight and 12.20am and the offenders have both been described as white, slim and about 23 years old. One had blond hair.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident and anyone who may have any information about it.
