A man was kicked from behind before he was robbed by a masked gang in Rushden.

The victim, aged 29, had parked his car and was walking in Dayton Street when he was attacked between 5.30pm and 6pm on Monday (August 3).

As he was walking he was kicked in the leg from behind, causing him to fall to the ground and drop his wallet.

One of the three attackers then picked up his wallet, searched through it and stole cash.

A police spokesman said: "All three offenders were wearing dark tracksuits with the hoodies up and face masks.

"Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 20000402240. Or alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
