A man had his wallet and mobile phone stolen when he was robbed by two other men in a Kettering underpass yesterday morning (Thursday, March 14).

The 38-year-old victim was walking from Highfield Road into the park heading towards Pytchley Lodge Industrial Estate between 8.55 and 9.10am.

When he entered the underpass he was approached by two men who asked him if he had a lighter and then threatened him before stealing his mobile phone and wallet.

The two men then made off towards the industrial estate.

The victim was not injured.

Both offenders were white, aged between 25 and 30, and about 6ft.

The man who talked to the victim spoke with an Eastern European accent and wore a black North Face jacket.

Another man, who was walking ahead of the victim, is a possible witness to this incident and officers are appealing for him to come forward.

He was wearing a black leather jacket and combat trousers.

Officers would like to speak to this man or anyone else who may have any information about this incident.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, should phone Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
