
The incident happened yesterday (Wednesday) at about 6.45pm in Wycliffe Road, Northampton, when the victim was approched by a man who asked for the time.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “The victim told him the time, at which point he became confrontational, approached the victim and punched him to the head several times.
“The victim managed to get away, however the offender followed him and made verbal threats. The victim eventually managed to get away.”
The suspect is described as a white man, around 28 years of age, about 5ft 9ins with a very big, muscular build.

He had short blonde hair and was wearing a blue top and no shoes.
