The assault happened between 6.45pm and 7pm on Tuesday in the Drapery, when the victim, a 27-year-old, was grabbed by two men outside McDonald’s and then punched and forced into a vehicle, believed to be a VW Passat.

Both attackers were white. One of them is described as being in his thirties, about 5ft 8ins with a stocky build. He had short blonde hair and a beard and was wearing a grey top.

The second man is described as being about 5ft 1ins, with a medium build and in his mid-to-late twenties. He had short dark hair and dark facial hair.

The victim was then driven to the Kings Heath area and further assaulted by two or three men.

There were a lot of people in the area at the time and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information about it, to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
