Man in critical condition after transit van accident in Northamptonshire

The crash happened at about 3.25pm yesterday when a white Ford Transit van was travelling along the Weedon Road, Northampton towards the Sixfields area.

For an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the vehicle near the Tweed Road junction and mounted the verge, hitting a signpost.

As a result a 62-year-old driver is in a critical condition at Northampton General Hospital.

Police are appealing for any witness to the collision.
