A bearded man threatened another bus passenger with a carving knife in Northampton during a rush hour commute.
Northamptonshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a man threatened a fellow passenger while travelling on the 9A Stagecoach bus on Tuesday, December 1.
The incident happened between 4.45pm and 5pm as the bus headed out of the town centre.
A police spokeswoman said the offender made threatening comments to the victim while holding what appeared to be a “carving knife.” He got on the bus at Sol Central and got off in St James.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, particularly any other people who were on the bus at the time.
The offender sat at the back of the bus and was white, of slim build, aged between 35 and 40, with untidy brown/grey hair and a beard.
He was of average height and was wearing a dark grey sports jacket with a hood, black trousers and was carrying a dark blue bag with a long strap over his shoulder.
