Man and woman appear in court after 20-year-old pedestrian killed in Northampton

A man and a woman have appeared in court for the first time charged with driving offences after a fatal collision with a pedestrian.

Krystal Hamilton was hit by a grey Volkswagen Passat while walking along the pavement in Wake Way, Grange Park on February 6 this year.

The 20-year-old was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries and died ten days later.

Kennedy Lucas, a 23-year-old from Luton and Vinny Guess, a 28-year-old from Dunstable have both been charged with causing death by driving a vehicle that is unlicensed and uninsured and perverting the course of justice.

Lucas has also been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

The pair appeared in Northampton Magistrates Court today (September 21) to face the charges.

On Wednesday, October 21, they will both appear in Northampton Crown Court.
