Police are on the hunt for thieves who stole a ‘large quantity’ of road signs from the A45 near Wellingborough last week.

The traffic management signs were stolen from the A45 near Wellingborough at some time between 10pm on Monday June 3 and 8.45pm the following day.

The signs had been laid out on the stretch of the A45 between Wilby Way and Turnells Mill Lane, in preparation for roadworks. Lights on the same stretch of road were also removed.

Police believe a large vehicle would have been required to remove the signs and lights and that it may have looked like a Highways vehicle.
