Kettering yobs who damaged vehicle spit at man who challenged them

A man stepped in and challenged two Kettering vandals - only to be spat at.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident in Windmill Avenue between 6pm and 6.30pm on Saturday (December 14).

The victim, a man in his 60s, was walking along the street when he saw two white boys who were aged about 14 damaging a vehicle.

He challenged them and was spat at as one of the yobs unsuccessfully attempted to punch time.

The youths then rode off on their bicycles.

A police spokesman said both of the boys were wearing dark clothing and that one of them called the other Ollie.

No arrests have been made but any witnesses or anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
