A man with a knife robbed a woman for just £15 on Kettering's Grange estate.

The victim was walking with her children in a double buggy up the hill to the estate's Grange Place shops when the terrifying incident took place at about 2pm yesterday (Thursday).

She was approached by a man who asked for money with a blade sticking out of his sleeve. She then handed over £15.

A police spokesman said: "She felt that she had to give him the money otherwise he would have taken it by force."

The spokesman said he was described as being 6ft 1in tall and of slim build.

They added that he was wearing a black Puma tracksuit, black gloves and black trainers with a white tick.

He made off towards the allotments and turned right before he got there.

No arrests have been made and police are appealing for witnesses.
