A Kettering man has been sentenced to unpaid work after exposing himself on his own doorstep.

Michael Collins, 55, was arrested after his lewd behaviour which took place at about 6.30pm on May 31 last year.

Police were called after a member of the public saw him exposing himself on the doorstep of his Hertford Road home.

He was later seen to be performing a sexual act.

Collins was charged with outraging public decency, which he admitted at Northampton Magistrates' Court last week.

Magistrates sentenced him to a 12-month community with 100 hours of unpaid work.

Collins must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £95.
