One then touched her inappropriately and a member of the public nearby tried to catch up with them but they fled on bikes and were lost in the Exeter estate in Corby, a police spokesman said.

The spokesman said all three boys were white, about 14 or 15-years-old and had local accents.

They said the boy who touched the woman was wearing a grey tracksuit with white trainers, had curly dark blond hair and was riding a mountain bike which was either green or silver.

He was about 15 and about 5ft 11in tall, taller than the other two boys, the spokesman said.

The spokesman said a second boy had a chubby face with spots, was about 14-years-old, quite short in height and wearing a black jumper with a Nike logo on and black jogging bottoms. His mountain bike was black in colour, the spokesman said.

They added that the third boy was the youngest looking and was wearing a black tracksuit and riding a black mountain bike.
