Intruder cuts cables and floods room after Corby break-in

A householder awoke to find a room in their Corby house flooded and electrical cables cut.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the break-in in Sherborne Walk on the Beanfield estate in the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday).

Between 4am and 4.10am the victim heard a noise downstairs and discovered the front door open.

They told police a tap had been turned on in one of the bedrooms, flooding it, and that some electrical cables had been cut in the kitchen.
