'Home Alone' burglar floods Kettering flat after turning water on

A burglar who entered a Kettering flat flooded it after turning the water on - just like the Wet Bandits duo in Home Alone.

Police are appealing for information after the cruel incident at Lancaster House in Judes Court, just off Drill Hall Court, which took place at some point between December 1 last year and January 17 this year.

Officers said the criminal responsible gained entry through an insecure front door and caused flood damage after turning the water on.

Items were also taken from the flat, but no further information was available at this stage.

It's reminiscent of scenes in the hit Macaulay Culkin film, which saw Wet Bandits burglars Harry and Marv terrorise a suburb in Chicago by leaving their victims' taps running after breaking in.
