A man arranged to sell someone a games console in Wellingborough - before he was robbed and stabbed.

Police are hunting for two teenage suspects after the terrifying incident on the edge of the Hemmingwell estate between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday (March 22).

The victim, a man in his 20s, had arranged to sell someone a second-hand games console and two men met him near the grassed area in Gannet Lane that backs on to the Finedon Road Industrial Estate.

But they then robbed him of the console before stabbing him with a lock-knife, thankfully only causing minor injuries.

A police spokesman said: "The first offender is described as a black boy, aged 17 to 18, of a skinny build, about 5ft 9in, with short, dark brown, afro hair and wearing a blue North Face jacket, white and black Nike trainers and a diamond stud in both ears.

"The second offender is described as a black boy, aged 17 to 18, about 6ft, of a skinny build, wearing a black Adidas windbreaker-style tracksuit with black Nike trainers."

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
