Five men try to smash their way into Kettering phone firm's unit

Five men were spotted running away from a phone repair firm's unit after trying to smash their way into it.

Officers are appealing for information after the incident at the Spark Angels unit in Orion Way, Kettering, between 12.15am and 12.25am yesterday (July 1).

Police said the offenders attempted to gain access by "attacking" the cladding and smashing the front door.

But they failed to gain entry and left empty-handed after the alarm activated.

The five men were spotted by security running away from the scene before police arrived.

A spokesman for the force said they made off by cutting a fence panel leading towards the A14.
