A busy Corby road was closed in both directions today (Saturday) after a crash.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene after the collision involving two cars in Oakley Road, between the Lyveden Way roundabout and Lidl, at about 10am.

The air ambulance was called with reports of it landing on the Exeter estate.

The severity of injuries suffered by those involved has not yet been released by police, who have been contacted for comment.

Traffic reports are showing slow traffic in Oakley Road to the Westcott Way roundabout and in Cecil Drive.
