Drink-driver's 23-month ban after failing to stop following crash in Northampton

A drunk-driver who failed to stop after a crash has been banned for 23 months and fined more than £800.
Paige Parker, 25, blew nearly three times over the limit following the shunt in her VW Polo in Ardington Road, Northampton, in September last year.

Hide AdTest showed 97 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
She also pleaded guilty to failing to stop when she appeared at Northampton Magistrates Court last month.
Charges of failing to swap details with the driver of the other vehicle involved and failing to report the accident was withdrawn.
Magistrates fined Parker, of Thirstleholme Close, a total of £816 and ordered to pay £82 surcharge to fund victim services and £85 prosecution costs.
