Dangerous driver hid in bushes after going wrong way down Kettering street
A driver who fled from police at high speed before travelling the wrong way down a Kettering street has been jailed after he was caught hiding in bushes.
Jared Wright, 33, was already disqualified from driving when his white Peugout van was spotted by officers in Stamford Road at about 9.15pm on May 8.

Hide AdPolice tried to stop the vehicle but Wright, of Lingfield Walk in Corby, made off and drove at high speeds in an attempt to evade police.
He drove the wrong way down Newland Street before decamping in Gold Street and running away.
He was eventually found hiding in bushes behind Toller Church and arrested.
He later admitted a string of offences including dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance.

Hide AdHe was also in breach of a suspended sentence he had previously been given at court in Aylesbury.
Today (Wednesday) at Northampton Crown Court he was jailed for a total of 15 months.
Wright will also be banned from driving for two years and seven months and must take an extended re-test.
